My top 5 tips for ordering your wedding invitations!
Moodboard
Pinterest is a wonderful thing and I’m sure every bride has a board full of her favourite ideas. The more you can show me the better (its doesn’t need to be photos of stationery), tell me about your flowers, bridesmaid dresses, if your dress is ivory or white. Even what the groom will be wearing! All these things help me build a picture of your day which I can capture in your stationery!
Leave plenty of time
In busy periods it can take up to 6 weeks for your order to be made. Contact me 6-12 months before your wedding so we can start to discuss the design. Details such as ceremony time can be finalized just before printing.
Know your budget
Invitations can be printed onto a variety of different papers and the shape and size can alter the price. If you have a budget in mind, let me know and I can show you which options are best for you.
Triple check your proofs
When you have looked at something for a long time it can be easy to miss mistakes. Before you approve your designs I would always recommend a friend or family member check over them for you (mums and bridesmaids are very good at this!) Someone who knows all your wedding plans so would spot errors with times or addresses.
Think about the details
Every wedding is different some weddings will have a ceremony venue that differs from the reception venue. Some will offer guests transport. Some will require guests to make menu choices. Consider all these things and give me as much detail as possible at the beginning will and it will make it a much smoother process. Even if details are not finalised, we can make sure we leave plenty of space for everything
